Parking is NOT permitted on the street or grass anywhere within Rainberry Lake - We realize that deliveries and contractors may need to park on the street, short term, during the day. However, vehicles are NOT permitted on the grass as this kills the grass and damages our sprinklers. Residents having company with cars that their driveway cannot accommodate, should ask neighbors if they can use their driveway or make arrangements to park the excess vehicle(s) in the Temporary Lot next to the Guard House. Do NOT park in the South Pool Lot. This lot is for the exclusive use of residents while using the swimming pool.
Driveways - The properties in Rainberry Lake all have driveways and garages intended to accommodate the resident's vehicles. But our properties are varied and some can accommodate as many as six (6) vehicles while others can only accommodate two (2).
Our streets are narrow and winding so for safety reasons, access to Emergency Vehicles, ease of travel though the community and appearance, residents are NOT permitted to park on the street. We also do not permit parking on the grass as this damages the grass and sprinklers, and is unsightly.
But we understand that a resident will occasionally need to park more vehicles than their property can accommodate. Contractor or visitor vehicles may be parked on the street short-term, provided the vehicles are positioned to minimize obstruction of thru traffic. We urge Residents with longer-term needs to work with their neighbors to temporarily park in the neighbor's driveway, or use the Temporary Lot next to the Guard House.
If a resident needs more parking on a regular basis they may be able to widen their driveway to accommodate more vehicles.
Pods - Residents may stow a Pod on their driveway for up to 2 weeks, while moving household belongings or performing interior renovations. They MUST obtain permission from the Villas Security director beforehand. Note that having a Pod in the driveway does not warrant violating the parking rules and parking on the street or grass. If there is insufficient room to park their cars, residents must use the transit lot next to the Guardhouse or request a neighbor allow them to park in their driveway. Pods must not be placed on the street or grassy areas.
Pods must ONLY be delivered 8AM to 8PM when the Guard is on duty. Please inform the Pod delivery company. Failure to do so may incur damage fees.
Sidewalks - We are fortunate in Rainberry Villas to have walking paths and sidewalks. At any time of day we can see dog-walkers, power-walkers, children and elderly enjoying our sidewalks. The HOA rules state that a resident must NOT obstruct the sidewalk. It is also a violation of The City of Delray ordinances to obstruct a sidewalk.
Commercial Vehicles - Commercial vehicles are defined as 'vehicles with stenciling or signs or vehicles that are larger than a minivan or pickup' (e.g., box trucks, busses) or specifically designed for commercial purposes (e.g., dump truck). These vehicles are permitted only if a contractor is performing work in the community. Resident's who have these types of vehicles must either park them in their garage out-of-sight or make arrangements outside of the community to park.
Trailers, Boats & RVs - Residents are NOT permitted to park these types of vehicles anywhere visible in the community. That is, they may store these in their garage or out-of-sight in their fenced-in yard (provided they can move the boat or trailer there without driving on Common Area). Short term (less than 72 hours) these may be parked in the Temporary Lot next to the Guard House. Most residents with boats will have to acquire off-site storage for the trailer and the boat when not in the water.
Disabled or Unregistered Vehicles - May be stored ONLY in the resident's garage. The City of Delray Zoning Regulations prohibit parking these vehicles in view anywhere. Performing repairs on vehicles in the street or driveway is also prohibited.
Speed Limit - The speed limit in our community is 25 MPH. Please be courteous and remember this is a residential neighborhood.
Stop Signs and Speed Bumps - There are numerous Stop-Signs in our community located at intersections, and the intersection at NW 10th Place has speed-bumps at the stop signs.
Malfunctioning Streetlight - The streetlights in our community are owned by FPL. If you notice a malfunctioning streetlight in the community, please report it to FPL by calling 1-800-468-8243. Alternately you can report the streetlight on the Internet by clicking here Report Streetlight Outage
You'll need to provide FPL with the nearest street address or the 11-digit number on the tag mounted on the streetlight pole, and a description of the problem. FPL will give you a 'repair-ticket' number and will typically perform the repair within ten (10) working days. (Note: If the streetlight no longer has an affixed number, just give FPL the nearest address).
Citizen's Observer Patrol (COPS) - The COPS program sponsored by the Delray Police Department is staffed by volunteers from communities like Rainberry Lake. These specially marked and equipped cars and uniformed volunteers cruise throughout the streets of Rainberry Lake as well as the Delray Pines and Rainberry Bay communities, looking for suspicious activity. Note that the COPS Patrol are not permitted to leave their vehicle. Should they witness any potentially illegal activity they will radio for assistance from a regular Delray Beach Police Officer.
The COPS program is always looking for new volunteers. The Delray Police Department provides uniforms, a specially marked vehicle, training and management assistance. Each volunteer is required to serve at least 2 hours per week. Jay Goldberg is the COPS Captain for our community. For more information contact Jay Goldberg at 561-445-8179 or email poppyjay28@aol.com
Doggy Waste Stations - There are 3 Dog Waste Stations located throughout the community on the Common Grounds Walking Paths - located at NW 10th Place, across from NW 14th Street and at NW 17th Street. When a pet owner does not pickup, residents step in it and track it in their homes. And doggy waste can carry numerous diseases that spread to humans. For this reason Palm Beach County Health laws require that a pet owner pickup after their dog and dispose of it properly. Please keep our community clean and healthy by picking up your doggy waste, and Please take the bag with you and dispose in your waste receptacle. (Click here to read the law Palm Beach County Code of Ordinances).
New bag-dispensers designed to redistribute clean grocery bags have been installed. Residents are requested to donate their clean grocery bags so that dog-walkers may use them to pick-up after their pets.
Violations - The HOA may issue warnings, impose fines and have vehicles towed. Fines, if not paid accrue interest and may result in a lien being placed on the property and foreclosure.
Report - We ask that residents report any suspicious or malicious behavior, as well as any hazardous drivers or parking violations. These issues may be reported to the guard or by emailing security@rainberryvillas.com
ILLEGAL ACTIVITY SHOULD BE REPORTED DIRECTLY TO THE DELRAY POLICE
